Thank you to all one and all for making it along to this years Open Days (2018) and taking up the "Invitation to be Curious" I hope to see you back again next year when I present my 2019 collection,
 | Plenty of people spent time trying to spot the creature in the painting titled "Hidden" some having several attempts before lifting the reveal flap to see if they were on the right track. At the base of the tree a tiny pigmy possom emerges from the painting as well as a few of his friends. Of course that is not all that was 'found' as everyone let their imaginations go wild finding all sorts of creatures, another intriguing painting. The "Let's Celebrate" series was a SELL OUT, although it was only three pieces and they have all gone to the one home! So although that could mean that only one person was charmed by them I am sure that I will be adding to this series as I enjoyed painting them and look forward to trying different colour combinations in my future pieces so, watch this space! The "New York Buskers" series of black and white prints were also popular with some who had been to New York recognising the buskers as ones that they had also sat and listened to in Central Park. My pastel paintings from my exhibition that I held in Corrigin in the Qualering shearing shed in 2017 found new homes. A lovely moment was when Maria happened to be here and met the new owners of a couple of the paintings that were inspired by her garden on the farm. Finally , on the last Sunday "Paperbark Panorama" sold and was taken away much to My Aunties regret as she had also fallen in love with the piece. The new owners replied with a lovely description of the piece which I will share with you the next article. |
