Art Exhibition in the Shearing Shed - April 2017

"Celebrating Qualering"
Qualering Farm is 200km east of Perth. It is the venue of my Exhibition, "Celebrating Qualering" with 3 generations of Artists from the Guinness farming family in their working Shearing shed.
The smell of Lanolin as you enter the Shearing shed and peer thru doorways to catch a glimpse of hidden artworks and spot the bird sculptures  that are made from weathered wood found on the farm.
It was a culmination of 30 years of me visiting the farm with my children so that they could have a taste of the "Country Life".
It was one of the most enjoyable exhibitions that I have worked on. There are plenty of stories to share about farm life as we know it, shearing, sheep, wheat, yabbies, farm dogs, chickens, snakes, kangaroos, eagles, utes and 4 wheel motorbikes.
A big thank you goes out to Tony, Maria, Rachael, Damon and Christopher.

The paintings below are inspired by the farm and were just a few of the 50 paintings that made up this exhibition.
Photos and time-lapse video of the event are posted on my blog.
