Qualering Farm Collection
2017 has taken me to country Western Australia beginning with an exhibition in Corrigin in a working Shearing Shed. This is just one painting that will feature in the exhibition.
Take a Bow - Saluting the Iconic Windmill. They have been a focal point in our country’s landscape bringing much needed water to the surface for the Farmers and their livestock but with the development of Solar Energy they are being replaced by more efficient solar panel pumps. They don’t yet add the same character to the landscape as the Windmill and Water Tank. Framed in a rustic grey weathered picket fencing. |
2016 Collection
|
I have had a busy year. I was fortunate to spend 2 weeks in China holding joint exhibitions in Beijing and Nantong Universities as well as overseas trips to New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland and Amsterdam and local trips to Dunsborough and Exmouth. Just making it back in time for my Open Studio Events. These are just a few of my 2016 Collection, others can be found at the beginning of the Galleries that follow.

Where The Mood Takes Me Series
Capturing the Canning Series
|
I live on the Canning River which flows into the Swan River in Perth Western Australia. Early morning and late evening walks are something we love. Being close to Nature is very nurturing for the soul and the changing moods of the river are always a delight to witness.

New Beginnings Series
|
The “New Beginnings” series takes me from the unknown to the unexpected.
The process creates opportunities, allowing a new sense of freedom to be extravagant. Expanding and developing a new way of expression. It’s exciting, enlightening and fulfilling. The process leaves a little more intrigue, there is always more to the paintings than first meets the eye. “Angels in the architecture, the devil’s in the detail”. Leaving space and light, yet intimate detail hidden to find later. Each painting’s story begins as simple washes and the subject emerges almost on its own, letting the paint decide the subject and my knowledge and experience over time to determine the outcome. |
Red Earth Series
|
North of Perth in Western Australia the earth becomes more red in colour. The further North you go the richer the colour gets. It is an Artists' paradise.
